Totton and Eling Neighbourhood Plan

What is a Neighbourhood Plan?

A Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led initiative designed to shape the future development, regeneration, and conservation of Totton and Eling. It represents a shared vision for our town, giving residents a voice in the planning system. Once approved through a local referendum, planning officers will ensure that any new developments align with the policies contained within the Neighbourhood Plan. This plan empowers our town by allowing residents to shape the development of the parish with a focus on the town centre, active travel, green and blue infrastructure and local green spaces, the public realm and design.

Following an extended period of information and evidence gathering, including initial public engagement, we have now appointed a consultant to draft the Totton and Eling Neighbourhood Plan, assist with further public and key stakeholder engagement and create this website, before we undertake the formal Regulation 14 Consultation on the Pre-Submission version of the Plan.

The plan is being prepared in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations of 2012 (as amended).
